Dorothy M. Ashmore, 89, died Friday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. She was born in Trenton and had resided most of her life in Bordentown. She had retired from the State of New Jersey working in the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of the Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church for more than 75 years. The wife of the late William A. Ashmore, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Ann and William Bozarth of Crosswicks; two sons, James R. Ashmore of San Leandro, CA and William C. Ashmore of Holiday, FL; a brother, Donald Hinkle of Shillington, PA; three grandchildren, William Ashmore, Karen Chuba and William Bozarth; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday from Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church, 71 Pearson Drive, Hamilton with the Rev. Robert Wecht officiating. There will be no calling hours. Memorials may be made to Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Peppler Funeral Home of Bordentown.
