Doris L. Runner (nee Jones) 94, of Crosswicks, passed away Monday, March 31 at her home. Born in Trenton, she had lived in the Crosswicks area most of her life. She retired as a secretary at McGuire's Air Force Base and was a Volunteer with the American Red Cross during WWII. She was a member of the Crosswicks United Methodist Church and its Ladies Auxiliary, the Chesterfield ""Keenagers"" and the Bordentown Chapter 257 O.E.S.
Daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude Jones (nee Lippincott), wife of the late, Norman Parker and William H. Runner and sister of the late Harry B., Edward S., Walter B. and Elwood C. Jones, she is survived by a brother Richard L. and Lois Jones of Tallahassee, FL., several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, several great great nieces and nephews and 2 great great great nephews. A step daughter, a step grandson and granddaughter and a step great grandson. And many, many good helpful friends.
Calling hours will be Sunday evening 5pm to 8 pm with funeral services at 7 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. The Rev. Edward Conway and Rev. Morrison will officiate. Friends are invited to the funeral home Monday morning 11am to proceed to North Crosswicks Cemetery for interment.
