Doris Jean Hewitt, 82, passed away on Sunday, February 10th at the Masonic Home in Burlington, NJ. Born in Merchantville, NJ, she was a lifetime resident of the area. Mrs. Hewitt was a longtime volunteer and eventually a staff member at the Cerebal Palsey school in Pennsauken, and also worked for the Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Wife of the late Clark R. 'Dick' Hewiit; daughter of the late Clarence and Ella Markley; and sister to the late Richard 'Dick' Markley; she is survived by her three sons and a daughter in law, Clark R. 'Rick' Hewitt Jr., Scott Hewitt - both of Pensauken, Ross and Jandee Hewitt of Westmont; two grandchildren Andrew and Winston Hewitt; a niece, Carol Houck of Marlton; two grandnieces Jessica Lally and Alison Houck and a longtime family friend Lynn Lewis.

A memorial service will be held 7:30pm, Wednesday, February 13th at the Masonic Home Chapel, 902 Jacksonville Rd, Burlington. Friends may call from 6:30 until time of service at the chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
