Doris M. Gossard, 84, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Allentown she graduated from Princeton High School and attended Rider College before getting married and moving back to Allentown. Doris enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved her dogs and being with her family.

Daughter of the late George and Evelyn Shotton, she was predeceased by her husband Kenneth E. Gossard. Doris is survived by her daughter, Kathleen E. England and her husband Bob of Piscataway; her sons, Bruce G. and Kenneth H. Gossard, both of Allentown and close family friend, Phylis Benoit.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 27th from 2-3:30pm followed by a memorial service to begin at 3:30pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714 or to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1130 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753.
