IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Lynn
Muzer
January 2, 1965 – November 14, 2020
Donna Lynn (Meissner) Muzer, 55, of Roosevelt, New Jersey passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 14, 2020. She was born on the snowy morning of January 2, 1965 in Brooklyn, New York to Patricia (Allard) Schroff and Robert Meissner. She leaves behind a loving husband, Kurt Muzer, their son, Aaron, and two beloved pups, Sissy and Boo.
Donna is also survived by her two daughters, Heather (Gay) Jamison and Candice (Gay) Norman, both of Fort White, Florida; seven grandsons; her parents; a devoted sister, Barbara (Meissner) Arelt; brother-in-law, Christopher and niece, Emma, of Lyme, Connecticut. Donna also has many extended family members, aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly, especially at family picnic reunions where she specialized in giving bear hugs to anyone who entered her orbit.
An employee of Walmart for many years, Donna created an extended family of friends amongst her coworkers and management team. Funny, quick-witted, hardworking, gentle, fierce, loyal, and distrustful are some of the characteristics of her larger than life personality. Donna had a lifetime (mostly unfulfilled) passion for horses, especially Captain Malibu. She obsessively groomed and cared for many furry creatures of all sizes and shapes. She loved rescue dogs, especially Pekingese fur balls with various ailments and disabilities that were unwanted and advanced in age.
Donna loved to color her hair and tried many different hues over the years (none of them natural) to the delight and shock of her family and friends. She sported purple-blue periwinkle hair at the time of her death and matching finger polish. Caring for others was always her main reason for getting up in the morning and we all felt loved in her presence. Dragons were her spirit animal and she will be protecting us all in her special way, until we meet again.
Donna's ashes will be interred alongside her predeceased grandparents, Charles and Winifred Meissner at Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. Services will be private and for immediate family. Her death is a terrible loss for all of us that knew and loved her. Gone too soon.
