Donna Gabel, 65, of Allentown, passed away after a long fought, relentless battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home. Donna was born in Bayonne and grew up in Colonia. She later moved to Manalapan before relocating to Allentown, NJ. A Registered Nurse, Donna was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Perth Amboy and went on to earn her Nursing degrees from St. Peter's Medical Center and Rutgers University. Donna worked for several Medical Centers including CentraState, St. Francis Medical Center and most recently, Allies Inc.

Daughter of the late Walter Horbacz, Donna is survived by her husband David Gabel; her children, David Gabel, Tristen Pretlove, her husband, Eric Pretlove, Meghan Gabel, her fiance, Ned Roba; her grandchildren, Landon and Raelyn; her mother, Margaret Horbacz; her brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Cheri Horbacz; her sister and brother-in-law, Kathie and Robert Spitzer, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Saturday, December 10th at St. Gregory the Great Church, Hamilton Sq. Interment will be private. Friends may call Friday, from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 9pm at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Donna's name to
