Don Smith, 54, of Hightstown, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023.  Born in Princeton, he was a longtime Hightstown area resident.  Don worked as a custodian for East Windsor School District, retiring in 2022 after 32 years of service.  An avid NY Yankees fan, Don loved everything to do with the shore. He and his wife, Lisa, enjoyed trips to the shore, walking on the boardwalk, watching the boats, and playing in the boardwalk arcades.

Son of the late Joel and Jo Ann Smith, Don was predeceased by his brother, Michael Rein and by his father-in-law, Lawrence Cavallaro.  He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lisa Smith; mother-in-law, Edna Cavallaro; siblings, Timothy and Rose Smith of Fairless Hills, PA, David and Bonnie Smith of Browns Mills, Patricia and Herman Miller of Pennsville, Joel and Tina Smith of Apple Valley, CA, Jeffrey Smith of Florence, Amy and Art Petrenko of New Egypt, and Joseph Rein of Camden; sisters-in-law, Lori Cavallaro, Linda and Danny Lanza, and Sally and Brian Volkman; aunts and uncles, Jackie and Steve Brazina, Gail and Bud Silvers, Claire Carroll and Gail McNabb as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 21st from 6 to 8 pm and again Thursday, June 22nd from 10 to 11am at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So Main St. Allentown.  A funeral service will be held 11am Thursday.  Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery.
