Domenico Manobianco, 87, of Mansfield Twp. passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Elms of Cranbury. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Domenico was a resident of Mansfield Township for many years. He was a US Navy and Coast Guard Veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean War. Domenico retired from AVCO Financial Services where he worked for 36 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and was very active in the Four Seasons of Mapleton Community, serving on their Veteran's Affairs Committee and the Bowling and Bocce Leagues. He was an avid boater and fisherman.
Predeceased by his wife, Rose Fileccia Manobianco, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Donald Pappano of Hamilton Square, his two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sandie Manobianco of Litchfield Park, AZ and Stephen and Annemarie Manobianco of Princeton. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, John, Donna, and David Pappano and his wife Ashley; Haley, Daniel, Lisa and Matthew Manobianco; his great grandchildren, Emily, Michael and Molly; his sister, Lillian Fulgieri of Brooklyn; two brothers-in-law, Tom Fileccia of Brooklyn and Nick Fileccia and his wife Grace of Boynton Beach, Florida.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 22nd from 9-10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
