Obituary

Dolores "Dee" Waters, 78, passed away suddenly, Sunday, May 4, 2014. Born in Trenton, Dee lived most of her life in the Allentown – Robbinsville area. She graduated from Hamilton High School and worked at Farmers Reliance Insurance Company before marrying Harry Waters in 1956. She was a devoted mother and homemaker until her kids were grown, and she went to work for the State of NJ Department of Taxation.
She worked for the past 29 years at DiMattia's Restaurant in Allentown and considered many of the regular customers her extended family. She talked to them about her children, grandchildren and all of the things that were happening in her life. She had the "gift of gab" her family often said, talking to strangers wherever she went. She worked the night before she died chatting with her customers as she always did. She was loved by many.
She loved the sun and the beach and vacationing in Cancun with her family. Dee was a proud mother and grandmother, always devoted to her family, helping them all in any way she could. She loved to dance and would often be seen dancing and singing at DiMattia's while Vinnie played the guitar. Her love, devotion and generosity were felt
by her family and many friends.

Predeceased by her husband, Harry in 1988, Dee is survived by her four children and their spouses, Kim Waters of Hopewell, Valerie and Todd Nebbia of Allentown, Kurt and Lisa Waters of Robbinsville and Eric Waters of Vienna, VA. She was very proud of her four grandchildren, Alex and Blake Nebbia, Cole Warner and Peyton Waters. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Janice Schmitt, Betty-Lou Conrad and Nancy Waters and a nephew, Todd Schmitt. Dee will be deeply missed by her close friend Nick DiMattia and his family and her many friends at DiMattia's Restaurant.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 12 th at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 4315 Nottingham Way, Hamilton from 8-11am with a funeral service to begin at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Fire Company, PO Box 547, Allentown, NJ 08501 or to the Allentown First Aid Squad, P.O.
