David J. Schaefer, 64, of Crosswicks, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 at The University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Trenton, he was a Crosswicks resident most of his life. He graduated from Rider University and was the owner and operator of RCR Management in Bordentown. A member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church, David loved spending time with his family at their lake house. He was devoted to his family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather (Baba).

Son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Schaefer, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Denise Schaefer; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Christopher McClave of New Canaan, CT; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Shannon Schaefer of Hamilton and Peter and Rachel Schaefer of New Egypt; his grandchildren, Mason, Cal, Connor and Amelia McClave and Brayden, Addison, and Ryder Schaefer; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Wanda of Columbus; nephew, Stephen and niece, Lisa, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be held 10am on Thursday, June 25th at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, Allentown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 9pm at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown.
