David E. Russell , 82, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Virtua Memorial Hospital of Burlington
County with his family by his side. Born in Columbus, NJ, he was a resident of the Bordentown area most
of his life. He was a retired Lieutenant with the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections and had
worked in Bordentown, Rahway and the FCI Fort Dix Facilities. Dave enjoyed the outdoors and was an
avid hunter, golfer and enjoyed fishing.
Predeceased by his parents, Warren and Mary Russell, he is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years,
Sharon Russell, his daughters: Victoria Freeto and her husband Gary of Clementon, NJ and Lorraine
Gilson and her husband Phil of Milton, DE. His grandchildren: Nicole Freeto and her partner Aaron Beck-
Schachter and Cameron Freeto, his great grandson: Michael Beck-Schachter and his sister: Doris Bash of
Bordentown.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Thursday, November 18 at Mary, Mother of the Church,
45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Entombment will follow in the parish mausoleum. Family and friends
may call on the family Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122
Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ.
