Obituary

David A. Meirs II VMD, 87, of Walnridge Farm, Cream Ridge, NJ passed away Monday, March 27, 2017 surrounded by love and family.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline W. Meirs; his children, David A. Meirs, III (Robin), Dr. Richard S. Meirs (Sherri) and MaryAnn Meirs, BSN, CRRN; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wives, Lois Aaronson Meirs and Joan K. Meirs.

After attending Rutgers University with honors and the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Meirs established Walnridge Equine Clinic in 1965. In addition to starting the equine clinic, Dr. Meirs was involved in many professional affairs.
Served as the president of the NJ Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners

Member Veterinary Advisory Committee to the NJ Dept. of Higher Education

Member and founder, New Jersey Equine Practitioners Assoc.
