David Hammell Jr.,86,a former resident of Crosswicks, NJ passed away June 5th at his home in South Ft. Myers FL.

David was born on March 13, 1921. He graduated from William McFarland High School in Bordentown, New Jersey. He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy. Mr. Hammell was a businessman in the area for 40 years where he owned & operated David Hammell & Son Custom Builders in Crosswicks, NJ before his retirement. David was a avid fisherman and loved owning his own boat ""Ebbtide"" moored in Forked River for several years.

Mr. Hammell was predeceased by his wife Mabel Stadler Hammell in 2004 and is survived by one son,David Hammell III and two step daughters Sherri Rebmann & Patti Sinetar.

Funeral service will be held Monday, 12 pm, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks Street, Bordentown. Interment will follow at North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton Twp. Friends may call from 10 am until time of service.
