David Engebretson, 84, passed away October 29th. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided most of his life in New Jersey. David served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Monmouth University with his Bachelor's degree and went on to earn his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business. David worked as an educator for many years, was a former member of the Luther Memorial Church in Tinton Falls and often attended the Robertsville Bible Church.
A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, David was predeceased in 2005 by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Delbasco Engebretson. He is survived by his second wife, Susan Dutton Engebretson whom he married in 2012; his daughter and son-in-law, Donna Engebretson Wooster and Andrew Wooster; his granddaughters, Rachel and Sarah Wooster; his brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Arlene Engebretson; his nieces, Carol Kinsey, Nancy Engebretson Staten, Karen Preston and Lynne Kosobucki and nephew, John Kosobucki.
Service will be held 10 am on Saturday, November 12th at the Robertsville Bible Church, 11 Church Rd., Morganville, NJ. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 on Friday, November 11th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to Heifer International, 1 World Ave., Little Rock, AR 72202.
