Obituary

Daryl Frances Bittner, 71, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Compassionate Care Hospice. Born June 28, 1941 in Trenton, NJ and raised in the Village of Groveville, she remained a lifelong Mercer County resident. She was a member of Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Daryl was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Viola (Sharp) Dwier; a sister Jane Dwier and brother-in-law Robert Zarr. She is survived by beloved family members, her sons, Harry Bittner II and Thomas Bittner; daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Scott Singleton; grandchildren, Hannah Kay and Jacob Singleton; brother, Thomas W. Dwier and his longtime girlfriend Tammy Mathews; sister, Claire Zarr; nieces and nephews Thomas S. and Kerry Dwier,  Melissa and Jerry Harris, Jr. and their children Jerry III (Heather), Matthew, Brendan and Tyler; and Kristi Zarr; special cousins Dennis (Margaret) Moyer and Michael (Bonnie) Moyer. She also dearly loved her extended family, Heather and Paul Gendron and their children Jordan, Jessica, and Roy and Brandy and Ruben Moncada and their daughters Alma and Phoebe.

A celebration of Daryl's life will be held at Grace St Paul's Episcopal Church in Mercerville on Friday, June 14th  at 6:30 pm followed by a reception until 9 pm.  Interment of cremated remains will be private in Princeton Memorial Park at the convenience of her children.  In lieu of flowers or Mass cards the family requests that contributions be made to New Jersey DeMolay or Grace St Paul's Episcopal Church. Additionally, Daryl requested time be spent with a child in her memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
