Daniel J. Velkovich, 69, of Allentown, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton.  Born in New York City, he lived in Allentown for 18 years. Daniel retired as regional sales manager for Gerber Products Corporation. He was an avid baseball fan who loved spending time with his grandchildren, the joy of his life.

Son of the late Joseph and Helen Velkovich, he is survived by his wife of 47 years, Agnes Gillen Velkovich; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel James and Lisa Velkovich of Hamilton and Matthew Gillen and Allyson Velkovich of Rock Hill, SC; three grandchildren, Julia Rose, Sarah Grace and Gillen Adam; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Maureen Savage of Upper Montclair; a sister, Helen Miller of Shohola, PA as well as many nieces and nephews

Funeral service will be held 10am Thursday, November 17 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home 114 So. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Allentown.  Friends may call Wednesday, from 2-4pm and again at 7-9pm at the funeral home.
