Daniel P. Donovan, 92, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Hamilton Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Hamilton Township, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he had lived in Chesterfield Township for the last 59 years and was a retired butcher that had worked for Food Fair, Pantry Pride, and ShopRite over the years. Daniel was a WWII Navy Veteran who served aboard USS BOWDITCH during the 1946 atomic bomb tests at Bikini Atoll and on USS MISSISSIPPI. He was also a member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Michalena Donovan and his beloved wife of 64 years, Dolores (Robachinski) Donovan, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Daniel M. and Karen Donovan of Ewa Beach, HI and his grandsons: Michael and Andrew Donovan.
Due to the pandemic, services will be private with interment on 17 April at Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
