Obituary

CW5 Randy Niedt, 47, of North Hanover, passed away Tuesday, November 25th at home. Born in Trenton, he was a graduate of Ewing High School and the joined the Army National Guard in 1979. He was a Past Master and Past Secretary of the Mt. Moriah Lodge #28 F.&A.M., a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Central Jersey, a member of the National Guard Association of NJ and the South Jersey Ghost Research. GW5 Niedt held the position of Command Chief Warrant Officer in the NJ Army National Guard, holding the rank of CW5, with over 28 years in the military. He also held positions as a rotary-wing aviator, Safety and Occupational Health Manager, Administrative Specialist for the Recruiting and Retention Command, Active Guard Reserve Human Resource Manager and the State Family Programs Director.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Niedt (nee Andrechick) currently serving in Iraq; two daughters, Kerri Lynn and Jamie Leigh Niedt; his parents Richard and Betty Niedt; two brothers, Richard and his wife Susan Niedt and Robert and his wife Lynn Niedt; his mother-in-law, Pauline Andrechick; brothers-in-law, David and his wife Terri Andrechick, Mark and his wife Mary Andrechick and Daniel and his wife Kathleen Andrechick; sister-in-law, Jody Torres and her husband Bill; as well as 7 nieces and 5 nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Robert Andrechick

Funeral service will be held Monday December 1st 9:30am at the Fort Dix Chapel (Main Post) 5240 New Jersey Ave., Ft. Dix, NJ 08640. (All adult visitors to the base must present valid photo ID and proper vehicle documentation.) Interment will follow the service at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd. Arneytown, NJ. Friend may call Saturday 6-9pm and again Sunday 1-3pm and 6-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown , NJ 08505. Masonic Services will be held Sunday evening 7 pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the State Family Readiness Council, PO Box 5692, Trenton, NJ 08638-0692
