Clifton Perry, age 79, of Cream Ridge, passed away Thursday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born in Greenville, NC, he was a resident of the Allentown area for over 40 years. A WWII Navy veteran, Mr. Perry owned and operated Perry's Market in Allentown for 25 years and was employed by the Borough of Allentown for 15 years. He served as the Mayor of Allentown from 1972 to 1979 and was a 40 year member of the Allentown Lions Club serving as president from 1975-1976. A 40 year member of Allentown Presbyterian Church, Mr. Perry was also a life member of the Hightstown VFW.

Predeceased by his daughter, Mary Jane Perry and granddaughter Megan Perry; he is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Jane Walker Perry; his children, Susan and John Richmond of New Egypt, Cliff and Mary Perry of Cream Ridge and Stacie and Eric Madia of Allentown; his grandchildren, Veronica, Victoria, Mary Lynn, Maura, Sarabeth, Hannah, Olivia and Calvin and six great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, 11am at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St., Allentown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 5-7pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
