Christopher J. Rowe 63 of Allentown passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home.
Born in Trenton, Chris grew up in Allentown where he and his brothers would spend hours exploring the woods, creeks, and farmlands resulting in his love of the outdoors and hunting, trapping, and fishing. A graduate of Hamilton High East, Chris was a US Navy Veteran. He retired from Hamilton Township Public Works Department where he worked as a mechanic. Chris loved the Jersey shore and enjoyed auto racing, once winning an Atco Wally. He was an avid Ford Mustang enthusiast and a supporter of female rock musicians. He was an excellent cook and loved to cook for and entertain his family and friends. Above all, Chris was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Son of the late Alma Mae and Leonard Joseph Rowe, Chris was predeceased by his son, Jason Daniel Rowe, his infant grandsons, Caison and Jase, his sister, Amy Rowe Clauer, his mother-in-law, Roberta Ginger Wilson, his brother-in-law, Joseph Seliga, his dear friend, Todd Tryon, and his faithful furry companion of 15 years, Maxwell. Chris is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tracy, his son, Jesse T. Rowe; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Gena Rowe and Daniel and Patricia Burkalski Rowe; his father-in-law, Carl W. Wilson; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Michele Seliga, Joanne Wilson and Bob Goss, and James Clauer. Chris is also survived by Casie Mahon and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation will be private under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Chris' name to the Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine ( Giving to Penn (upenn.edu)) or to the American Cancer Society ( Donate Today | The American Cancer Society )
