Obituary

Christine Challender Wetterling, 51, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, February 25, at RWJ Hamilton after a long illness. She will be deeply missed and always loved.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Carl Sr., her son, Carl Jr., of Bordentown, NJ; and also her parents, Deacon James and Nancy Challender of Hamilton, NJ; her sister, Theresa McNab, MD of Oakhurst, NJ; two brothers, Colonel James Challender of Falls Church, VA and Timothy Challender of Hamilton, NJ; two nephews, James Michael Challender of Concord, NH, and Timothy Challender of Hamilton, NJ, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Chris was born in Trenton, grew up in Hamilton and lived in Bordentown following her marriage. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Lawrenceville, NJ, and attended The College of New Jersey. Chris was a gentle soul who loved the NY Yankees and Miami Dolphins. She enjoyed reading and had a life-long fondness for the Little House on the Prairie Series. Chris also enjoyed word puzzles and Scrabble.

Burial services are private. A memorial Mass to celebrate and honor her life will be offered at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
