Cheryl L. Pater Szwed 57, of Cream Ridge passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold.  Born in Allentown, she was a lifelong area resident before moving to Cream Ridge 30 years ago.

Daughter of the late James J. Pater Jr., Cheryl is survived by her mother, Barbara Pater of Allentown; her loving husband of 29 years, Joseph Szwed; the two most precious gifts in her life, her two daughters, Michelle and Amy Szwed of Cream Ridge; her sister, Ann Marie and her husband Erik Willitts of Cream Ridge, her dear aunt, Betty and her husband Ed Tindall of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother-in-law, Micheal Szwed of Allentown; sister-in-law, Kelly Szwed of Robbinsville; her nephew and his wife, Erik II and Emma Willitts of Pooler, GA; a special niece, Jamie Willitts of Cream Ridge and a very special, brand new great nephew, Erik Willitts III of Pooler, GA.

Cheryl was employed by Trident Abstract Title Agency in Wall Twp. before retiring a short time ago. She was an avid NFL football fan and especially enjoyed cheering for her favorite team, the Kanas City Chiefs. She also enjoyed watching dirt track racing on tv and spent a lot of time at home playing with her cats that she referred to as her "fur-grandbabies". But her biggest passion in life has always been just being a friend and mentor to her two daughters.

Cheryl was a parishioner of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in Wrightstown.

A viewing will be held Monday, November 20th from 6-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Tuesday, November 21st at St. Isidore the Farmer Parish, Assumption Church, 28 Monmouth Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.  Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Allentown.
