Charlotte J. Lengyen, 85, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. Born in Trenton, she was a longtime Yardville area resident. Charlotte worked as a registered nurse at Mercer Medical Center for several years before stopping to raise her children on the family farm in Crosswicks. She was a former member of St. Vincent De Paul Church in Yardville and was a devoted wife and mother. Charlotte enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daughter of the late John and Bertha Karch, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Lengyen, her son, Thomas D. Lengyen, her brothers, Walter, John, Richard and James Karch, and her son-in-law, Frank Toleno. Charlotte is survived by her children, Robert Lengyen, Ronald Lengyen, Janice Toleno, Judy & Jim Watters and Mary Lynn Kopec; her grandchildren, Genevieve Lengyen, Melissa Lengyen, Megan & Nick DiBiasio, Anthony Toleno, Lindsay Watters, James Watters, Elizabeth & Anthony FrancoKopec, Stephanie Kopec, Christina Kopec and Alexandra Kopec; her great-grandchildren, Josephine FrancoKopec and Mason Diasdeandre, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 10am on Thursday, July 22 nd at Mary, Mother of the Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ followed by a burial service in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Charity Foundation, 902 Jacksonville Rd, Burlington, NJ 08016 or a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
