Charlotte H. Comisky, 81, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. Born and raised in Summit, NJ, she was a graduate of Westminster Choir College in Princeton. She resided in Maryland for a short time before moving to Cookstown, NJ where she lived for many years, later moving to Florence with her daughter in 2020. Charlotte was a talented pianist and organist, working as the organist for McGuire Air Force Base for 47 years. Following her retirement, she worked as the organist for Ellisdale and Crosswicks United Methodist Church, playing her last service as Crosswicks in March of 2026. Charlotte also taught private piano lessons to countless people over the years.
Charlotte lived a quiet life. She loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed spending time with her daughter.
Daughter of the late James and Alfreda Hayes, she was predeceased by her sister, Betty L. Raby and by her former husband, Robert Comisky. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Laura Comisky; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mona Hayes; her brother-in-law, John Raby; and her nephews and niece and their families, Jamie and Becca Hayes, Jennifer and Adam Szyfman, and John and Louisa Raby.
Services for Charlotte will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
