Charles L. Vargas, 63, passed away Saturday January 20, 2018 at his home in Burlington Township, with his family by his side. Born in Great Lakes, IL he moved to New Jersey 40 years ago and has been a resident of Burlington Township for the last 4 years. He was an Air Force Veteran and had been employed by U.S. Pipe in Burlington and the Pepsi-Cola Company of Pennsauken.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Ellen Vargas (nee McGonigle) of Burlington Township. Four sons and two daughters-in-law: Jason and Hillary Vargas of Browns Mills, Michael and Rebecca Espenschied of Manville, John Espenschied of Burlington Township and Richard Espenschied. His daughter: Kelly Doherty and her husband Thomas of Colorado. His brother and sister-in-law: Steve and Susan Vargas of Racine, WI and seven grandchildren: Jacob, Malcolm, Sylvia, Ziva, Tahila, Carter and Devon.

A Memorial Service celebrating Charles's life will be held 1 pm Friday, January 26 at the First Baptist Church of Willingboro, 216 Sunset Rd, Willingboro, NJ. Friends may meet with the family from 12 noon until time of service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
