Charles ""Chubby"" Johnson, 84, of Cream Ridge, passed away Friday, April 17th at CareOne of Jackson. Born in Hornerstown, he was a lifetime Upper Freehold area resident. A WWII Army Veteran, Chubby retired after 30 years of service from Fort Dix. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion.

Son of the late Charles and Viola Johnson, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janet E. Johnson; his son, Barry Johnson of Cream Ridge and his brother Russell Johnson of Cream Ridge.

Funeral service will be held 10am Tuesday, April 21st at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. The Rev. Horace Frantz will officiate. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8pm at the funeral home.
