Obituary

Charles E. Estelow, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2012 in Columbus N.J. at the age of 75. He was a beloved husband, companion, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was very much loved by his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Born on November 18, 1936 in Mount Holly, N.J. to the late Doris M. Estelow, and Charles E. Estelow, Sr. He lived in the area all his life and graduated from Florence Township Memorial High School, class of 1954. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, a former member of Florence Township Assessment Commission, past president of the Florence Township Men's Club, past owner of Chuck's Atlantic Station and Florence Hardware of Florence, a member for 58 years of the Florence Township Fire Department and president of Florence Volunteer Fire Company #2 for 21 years, from January 1985 until January 2006, past Treasurer of Fire Company #2, and held many other offices.  Chuck was also a former member and past treasurer of the Florence Township Fire Commission for 9 years, a former member of the Florence Emergency Squad and the Roebling Rescue Squad, a life member of the State Relief Association, the Burlington County Relief Association, past president of Florence Township Relief Association, a life member of State Exempt Firefighters Association and past president of the Florence Township Exempt Firefighters Association. He was a retired shop foreman and heavy duty truck mechanic and loved to repair all things. When he retired, he volunteered at Capital Health System Helene Fuld Hospital two days a week for eight years.  He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church of Medford and former treasurer and member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Bordentown.

Husband of the late Barbara Clark and father of the late Charles E. Estelow III, he is survived by his loving wife, Rose Heitmann Estelow; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Todd of Florence, Scott Brian and Bernadette Estelow of Burlington Township; three step-daughters and two son-in-laws, Lynne Kluin of Yardley, PA, Gail and John Banks of Florence and Diane and William Moller of Burlington Township;  a sister, Betty Connor of Florence; ten grandchildren, Melisssa Kluin, Rae Lynne Price, Kelly Banks, Diane (Dee) Banks, William Moller, Rachel Marie Estelow, Maranda Rose Estelow, Charles Jacob Edward Estelow, Marissa Paige Estelow and Morgan Leigh Estelow and loving niece and nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great grand-nieces, and great grand-nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at Calvary Lutheran Church, Medford.  Viewing hours will be from 9a.m. to 11a.m. with church services to follow. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in the name of Chuck to: Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300 Marlton NJ 08053 or Calvary Lutheran Church, 3 Eayreston Road, Medford, NJ 08055.  Arrangements under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
