Charles M. Bunting, II, 87, of Crosswicks, went home to be with his Lord and Savior
on Saturday, March 27, 2010 with his family by his side. Born in Crosswicks, he was a life long area resident. Charles graduated from Bordentown High School and was a US Navy veteran serving as a Radar Technician during WWII. A local dairy farmer, he served the Crosswicks and Hamilton areas with dairy home and commercial delivery for many years. Upon his retirement, he went on to work for over twenty years for the Hamilton Twp School District and was most recently employed at the Morgan School. Charles was devoted to his family, which was most important to him. A devoted family man, he loved people and was an avid gardener.
Son of the late Howard T. Bunting, Sr. and Mildred (Borden) Bunting, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, William R. Baggott, III and his grandson Steven M. Crist; Charles is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruth A. Bunting; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia J. and Dick Crist of Perrysville, IN, Marilyn R. and Robert Fishman of Ellisdale, Mildred L. Matherly of Hampton, VA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles M., III and Michelle Bunting of Jobstown and David T. Bunting and Linda Neff of Southampton; 11 grandchildren, Sharon Epling, Sarah and Lois Crist, Timothy, Benjamin, Jonathan and Daniel Trought, Wendy Goy, Charles, IV, Caitlin and Cameron Bunting; 8 great grandchildren, Alexander and Rebecca Stephens, Rachel Goy, Colby, Noelle and Eli Epling and James and Lacey Trought; a brother, Howard T. Bunting, Jr. and his wife, Jenny of Crosswicks; two sisters, Louise Bunting of Crosswicks and Joyce Elliott and her husband, Harold of Yardville; a sister-in-law, Catherine Ford of Lawrenceville, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 11 am on Saturday at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Friday from 6-9pm and again on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
