Charles H. Bauer, 98, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the Masonic Home of New Jersey in Burlington . Born and raised in Collingswood , NJ , he lived in Allentown , NJ prior to a short time in Burlington Township . He was the comptroller and treasurer for Lewis C. Bowers Construction Company of Princeton , and was a member of the Allentown Lions Club.

Brother of the late Harry Bauer and sister-in-law Helen Bauer, he is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, Marion H. Bauer, his son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Denise Bauer of Jacobstown, two grandchildren Susan Bauer of Charleston, SC and Henry ""Hank"" Bauer and his wife Melanie of Asheville, NC, a nephew William H. Bauer and his wife Jacqueline of The Villages, FL and a niece Bonnie Schneider and her husband John of Evergreen, CO.  Charles is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home in Bordentown. Memorial contributions can be made in Charles's name to the Masonic Home of New Jersey, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington NJ 08016.
