Ceola Julia (Dancer) Wentzien, 83, of Upper Freehold Township, N.J., passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at Green Acres Manor, Toms River, N.J.  Born on May 17, 1928 and raised in Upper Freehold Township, she graduated from Upper Freehold Township High School in 1945 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science from Ursinus College, 1949, in the area of Mathematics.  She later attended graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, 1949-1950, in the area of Mathematical & Meteorological Studies, going on to work at Fort Monmouth, N.J., Security & Intelligence Branch, Evans Signal Laboratory, 1951-1953, as Mathematician on weather studies.  Her passion was her role as a faithful organist at Emley's Hill United Methodist Church, and DeBow's United Methodist Church, spanning 58 years.

On September 6, 1952, Ceola was married to, and is survived by her husband, William E. F. Wentzien., Jr. of Upper Freehold Twp., NJ.  As a dedicated mother, she is also survived by her sons, William Thomas and wife Barbara of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Derald Edwin and wife Charlotte of Newark, DE, Dean Ernest and wife Kristine of Pine Beach, NJ; grandchildren William Thomas and wife Elizabeth of Davidson, NC, David Christian of San Francisco, CA, Thomas Derald and wife Olivia of Frederick, MD, Elizabeth Ann, Christian Dean, Matthew Joseph, Catherine Rose, Timothy Carl; great grandchildren Christian Murphy, and Frederick Lawrence Wentzien.

Funeral services for Ceola will be held on Thursday, January 5th, at 10:00 am, at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 South Main Street, Allentown, N.J., with Rev. Horace Frantz officiating.  Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 4th, from 6-9 pm, and on Thursday, January 5th, from 9-10 am.  Interment will take place at the Old Tennent Church Cemetery, Tennent, N.J.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, Southern Regional Office, 331 Newman Springs Road, Bldg. 1, 4th Floor, Ste. 143, Red Bank, NJ 07701, would be appreciated.
