Catherine A. Prokop , 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2025 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Bordentown, she was a resident of the Bordentown and Fieldsboro area her entire life. She was a graduate of William MacFarland High School Class of 1951 and the West Jersey School of Nursing in Camden, NJ in 1955. Catherine worked at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton for over 40 years in the same day surgery unit. After retiring she worked as a part time nurse for the Bordentown Regional School District and volunteered for hospice. She loved her grandkids and they affectionately called her "Gram". Spending time with Gram included shopping at the mall and vacationing at LBI. She will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Catherine Kensler, her beloved husband Thomas Prokop and her siblings: Rose Marie, Joseph and Edward and his wife Elvira. She is survived by her son, Thomas Prokop and Brenda Hartmann of Fieldsboro; brother, Gordon Kensler and wife Barbara of Newtown, PA;  granddaughter Taryn Kresge and husband Thomas of Brodheadsville, PA; grandson, Derek Prokop and fiancé Danielle Rizzo of Bordentown;  great- grandchildren: Cole and Remi Kresge, Mason Prokop; beloved friend, Patty O'Neill; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Thursday, March 13 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Friends may call Wednesday evening 6 to 8 pm and again on Thursday morning from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bordentown Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Catherine's name to Greenwood House Hospice Services, 53 Walter Street, Ewing, NJ 08628.
