Catherine M. Perykasz, 84, of Old Bridge passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 at Cranbury Care Center in Monroe.  Born and raised in Manhattan, she was a long time Old Bridge resident and member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Catherine found pleasure in the smaller things in life- she enjoyed singing along with Laurence Welk, fondly recalling her youth working at a New York City Theater, and laughing freely and openly with loved ones.

Daughter of the late Michael and Kathleen O'Grady, she was predeceased by her sister, Teresa Anders.  Catherine is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frederick J. Perykasz; a daughter, Catherine Saville and her husband George Ascione of Cream Ridge; a granddaughter, Amanda Saville as well as nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, July 18 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will follow in Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.  Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 9pm and again, Thursday, from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Assoc., 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
