Catherine "Kitty" Pennell, 102 years young, was lifted up by God on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Seacrest Village in Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Born in Ewing Township, Kitty resided most of her life in Robbinsville. She had also lived in North Bergen, Trenton and Florida for some time. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, loved God and loved to dance. She was very well known in Robbinsville for her raspberries. Known as "Kitty", "Nan" and "Kissing Nanny", Catherine was an amazing woman. She was strong, determined, hard-working, giving and loving. She loved gardening, and the outdoors and most of all, her family.
Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Melanie Kotelnicki; her beloved husbands, Ralph Affuso and Harry F. Pennell; her son, Ralph "Chick" Affuso and five siblings, Mary Kotelnicki, Ann Langwig, Henry Kotelnicki, Steve Kotelnicki and Helen Bertotti, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and James Allen of Bonita Springs, FL; a daughter-in-law June Affuso of Barnaget as well as four grandchildren, Lori Munnia (Gary), Ralph Affuso (Gina), Jennifer Sarajian, and Nick Palomba (Lindsey), whom she adored so much. She was a great-grandmother to twelve, Patrick and Thomas Munnia, Christopher Affuso, Harrison, Hayden, Holden, Harvey, Hennsley, and Haddley Sarajian, and Maxon, Miles and Myra Palomba and loved them dearly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved as well.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 18th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St., Allentown. Friends may visit Friday evening from 5 to 8 pm and again Saturday morning from 11 am until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery.
