Catherine Helleis, 92, of Chesterfield Twp., passed away Monday at Mercerville Care Center. Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Helleis was a resident of Chesterfield for 60 years, where she and her husband ran their farm. She was a member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau Woman's Committee and the Mercer County Board of Agriculture. Mrs. Helleis was and active member of St. John's Church, St. John's Altar Rosary Society and the Danube Swabian German Club.

Wife of the late Frank Helleis and sister of the late Eva Schmeltz, Mary Udwary and Anna Maas; she is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Frank Gallo of Linden, NJ and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Friday 10:30 am at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchral Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Friday, 8-10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Foundation, 1041 Mill Creek Dr., Feasterville, PA 19053 or to a charity of the donors choice.
