Carole A. Grindlinger (nee Longobardi), passed away Monday, June 23, 2025 with family by her side. Born in Yonkers, NY, she resided in Hamilton, NJ for many years before moving to the Homestead Community in Columbus, NJ. Carole graduated with honors from Thorpe Secretarial School in NYC. She was the fashion editor for Baby Talk Magazine in Manhattan. She also was the owner and operator of Something Else, a dress shop in Trenton, NJ. Most recently, she worked for Hamilton Dental Associates.

Carole moved to Homestead in 2019 and quickly became active with several community groups, including the Welcoming Committee. She loved her community and her friends there and enjoyed spending time with them, playing cards, or just catching up on the latest neighborhood news. A wonderful cook, Carole loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings. She was a talented gardener, spending many hours tending to her plants and flowers and recently won an award for her beautiful yard.

Above all, Carole's greatest love was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to her three sons and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Lucy and George Longobardi she was predeceased by husband, Benjamin Grindlinger and by her brother, Thomas Longobardi. Carole is survived by her loving sons and daughters-in-law, Erick and his wife Mai, Dan and his wife Lori, and Anthony and his wife Hope; her beloved grandchildren, Sam and his wife Renee, Maria and her fiancé Keith D'Angelo, Jake and his wife Amanda, Gianna and her boyfriend Zac Brown, Jayson, McKaela, Madison, and Sophia; her great grandchildren, Lucia and Leona; her brother, George Longobardi as well as many other family and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday, June 26th from 10-12pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Princeton Memorial Park, Gordon Road, Robbinsville.
