Bill Wallsten, 92, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010 with his family by his side at RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Long Island, NY, he was a resident of the Allentown area for 57 years. Bill was a farmer in Upper Freehold and also owned and operated greenhouses. He was a member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church.

Son of the late Carl and Hanna Wallsten and brother of the late David Wallsten, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marian Wallsten (nee Johnson); two sons and a daughter-in-law; David Wallsten of Allentown and Carl and Jeanna Wallsten of Cream Ridge along with his four grandchildren; Tad, Joy, Brett and Daniel Wallsten and his faithful golden retriever, Hunter.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. The Rev. Horace Frantz will officiate. Interment will follow in the Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery, Allentown. Friends may call Sunday evening 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
