Obituary

Carl G. Sokolick, 85, of Montague, NJ, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025 in Bon Secours Hospital, Port Jervis, NY. Born in Simpson, PA, he moved to Montague in 1975. A US Air Force Veteran, Carl was a NJ State Trooper retiring in 1990. He enjoyed fishing and loved going to Canada with his friends and fishing for Salmon, Walleye and Pike.

Predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Rose and Basil Petrelak, his father, Walter Sokolik, and his brother, Walter Sokalick; Carl is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Deborah Sokolick of Dallas GA; his grandson, Christopher Sokolick Jr., his wife Holli and their son Maddox all of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandson, Nicholas Baiamonte of Sarasota, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Grace Sokolik of Ft. Collins, CO; sister-in-law, Lois Sokalick; nephews, Aaron Sokolik, Jeff Sokalick and his wife Cindy, Keith Sokalick, and Chuck Mahan and his wife Jeanine; nieces, Rachel (Sokolik) Kaut and Karen (Sokalick) McBroom and her husband Tim as well as many great nephews and great nieces.

Cremation will be private under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carl's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306, by mail or online .
