Caren Lynn Schmitt, 53, of Hamilton, passed away in her sleep on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Hamilton Grove Care Facility after a long, hard fight with multiple health issues. Born in Trenton, and raised in the Borough of Allentown. Caren was a talented artist, an
amazing photographer, and a former stage actor. During her long tenure as an X-ray Technician at Princeton Hospital and Community Medical Center, she was known for her kindness, and gentle care. A woman of very strong faith, she was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. Caren loved life; lived it to the fullest and was a loving
and devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. She was passionate about social justice and animal welfare.
Caren leaves behind to treasure her memory, her parents, Robert H. Sr. and Catherine Callahan Schmitt of Hamilton; her sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Dr. Edward Swiderski of Hamilton; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert H. Jr and Lisa Schmitt of Allentown; her
beloved nieces, Catherine Rose, Elizabeth Ann, Abigail Joan and Alexandra Catherine; her aunts and uncles, Janice Schmitt of Allentown, Richard and Mary Ann Schmitt of South Bethany, DE and Catherine and Vernon Toppin of Addison, ME as well as many cousins.
A visitation with the family will be held Friday, March 3rd from 1 to 3 pm, with a memorial service to begin at 3pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 So. Main St. Allentown.
