Calysta Mary Childs, 14, of Delanco passed away suddenly at home on July 23 ^rd , 2020.  She would have been 15 on August 4 ^th .  Born and raised in Naples, Florida, Calysta moved back to New Jersey ten years ago, and was entering her sophomore year at Medford BCIT for Ad Art.

Calysta was a selfless individual who always put others before herself. She worried about other people's problems and supported them when needed. She touched so many and never knew it, nor believed it. She was something different to everyone. She was a companion while her mother remains ill, Calysta will forever be remembered as her therapy buddy.

Calysta was an imaginative, budding artist who enjoyed hanging out with friends and doing silly tiktoks, playing video games like Minecraft & Mario Kart or reading her Manga books, backwards, of course.  She was a huge fan of ANYTHING Anime. Calysta loved math this year thanks to her math teacher, and her Ad-Art class was tops.  She loved her Paul McCartney & The Beatles and had started her own record collection. Calysta always said she had an old soul and was born too late. Finally, she was an animal lover and wonderful "Ma" to her fur baby cat, Dexter. Calysta will be celebrated and missed by all.

Calysta is survived by her parents: Richard and Alicia Childs of Delanco, NJ; her sister: Arianna Childs also of Delanco, NJ; Her Grandparents: Bob and Barbara Childs of Bordentown, NJ and John and Patricia Keller of Punta Gorda, FL.  Her Aunts; Beth Childs (Jim) of Jobstown, NJ, Rose Simmons (Matt) of Allentown, NJ; Merinda Giles of Hamilton, NJ and Barbara Rinkle of Canton, MI.  Her Uncles:  Mark Childs of Bordentown, NJ;  Michael & Jo Ann Keller of Canton, MI, and Gary & Sharon Giles of Tabernacle, NJ;  as well as her Cousins:  Brandi Helmacy of Jobstown, NJ; Krystal Simmons of Allentown, NJ;  Wayne Giles of Hamilton NJ,  Stephen Keller of Canton, MI, and Alexa Keller of Canton, MI and Christopher Rinkle (Becka).

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 3 ^rd at St. Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ.   A viewing will be held Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ.
