Beverly F. DiBenedetto, 88 of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, she resided in Bloomfield and Belleville before moving to Allentown, where she lived for close to 60 years. Bev loved Allentown. She was very proud of her little town and loved the people in it.
A 1958 graduate of Mountainside School of Nursing, she worked at several hospitals and institutions including the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital working with children in crisis and Allentown/Upper Freehold School District as a substitute school nurse.
Beverly was a woman of strong faith. She was a 60-year member of St. John’s Church in Allentown and was a member of the church’s 50+ club. A longtime volunteer for the Allentown First Aid Squad, Bev was a proud member of the Mountainside School of Nursing Alumni Club where she made many lifelong friends. Bev also enjoyed bowling and going to Wendy’s with Patricia and Tom.
Daughter of the late Charlotte Haggart and Frank DiBenedetto, Bev is survived by her “adopted” niece, Patricia Biscardi and her husband Tom and their children, Kristina and her husband Joe Vare, Thomas Biscardi, and Amanda Biscardi. Bev is also survived by many friends and neighbors whom she spoke with daily and loved dearly.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am on Saturday, January 24th at St. John’s Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd. Inurnment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bev’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home Allentown.
