Betty Jane Benck, 99, of Cream Ridge, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Serenity Hospice in Hamilton. Born in Trenton, she worked in several retail stores in Trenton when it was a thriving shopping district. She moved to Cream Ridge shortly after she married, where she raised her family and resided until her passing. Betty worked for Coleman Oldsmobile and later The College of New Jersey, retiring after 16 years of employment.

A strong and independent woman who could do almost anything, Betty was meticulous about keeping her home and yard pristine up until her last days. She had a passion for baking and sewing, and was always doing something to keep busy. She believed strongly in keeping close ties to family and friends, and was proud of the memories and stories she cheerfully shared with everyone. Betty also loved the shore and made many special memories spending time at the beach with her family and close friends.

Daughter of the late Jessie and John Reynolds, she was predeceased by her first husband, Francis Reilly, her second husband, Leroy Benck, her sister, Helen Behrend, and by her grandson, Mark Reilly. Betty is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Linda Reilly, as well as her beloved cousin, Gary Hoffner, and his wife Cristine.

A viewing will be held Monday, December 29th from 4-6pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 30th at 12pm at the funeral home.
