Bessie V. Nevis, 93, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt Holly with her loving family by her side. Born In Imlaystown, NJ, she was a long time Hamilton resident before moving to the Masonic Home in Burlington in 2015. She was a graduate of Allentown High School Class of 1941 and worked as a Title Searcher for Sterling Title of Mercerville well into her 90's. Bessie was an active member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and was a member of the Hamilton Seniors.
Predeceased by her parents, Warren and Mildred Emley, her brother Kenneth Emley and her beloved husband Jack Nevis, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and John Russell of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Andrea Kelly and her husband Stephen and Kevin Russell; her great granddaughter, Vienna Grace Kelly as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11am Wednesday, March 1st at Saint Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Ave, Hamilton, NJ. Friends may call from 9 am until time of service at the church. Interment will follow in Emley's Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge, NJ. Memorial Contributions may be made in Bessie's name to Saint Mark UMC, 465 Paxson Ave, Hamilton, NJ 08690. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ.
