Bertha Dancer Tarbay, 96, went peacefully to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the VNA of St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem, PA. She lived in her beloved New Jersey for 82 years and spent her remaining years in Fort Worth, TX and finally in the Lehigh Valley of PA. Bertha loved the sunshine, nature and all God's creatures. Those who knew her will always remember her fondness for Judge Judy, Seaside Heights, merry-go-rounds, her Mustang and her special teddy bear, Toby, who was with her at the end.

Predeceased by her parents, Abram B. and Bessie C. Malsbury Dancer, her beloved husband, Michael Tarbay Jr. and her daughter, Diane Crawford Dancer (2007), Bertha is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol Tarbay Sabetti and her husband, James of Bethlehem, PA and Virginia Crawford Dancer of Lambertville, NJ; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and their spouses as well as her honorary children, Wayne L. Jaworski of Bordentown and Becky Mendoza Barnard of Warrenton, VA.

Heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful staff of Emeritus of Allentown and the VNA of St. Luke's Hospice who cared for her with such overwhelming compassion during her final days.

A private service for the family will be held Wednesday, April 1 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St, Allentown, NJ. Rev. Jay Rambo, formally of the Bordentown Baptist Church will officiate, followed by the burial at Emley's Hill Cemetery, Cream Ridge, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to VNA of St. Luke's Hospice, 2455 Black River Road, Bethlehem, PA 18015 or to a charity of one's choice.
