Bernard Alan Stone, 90, of Bordentown and New York City passed away on Tuesday, May 12 at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. Born on July 30, 1929 in the Bronx, Bernie had a long, and successful career as an award-winning  film editor, independent filmmaker, and screenwriter. He worked on both sides of the Atlantic as an editor for ABC's 20/20 and Close Up television programs, Lorimar Studios, Fucci/Stone Productions, and Yorkshire Television along with many independent production companies. He was a proud member of Local 771 of the Motion Picture Editors Union and spent his long career passionately fighting for labor and other social justice causes.

Bernie is survived by his loving wife, Susan Ryan, and daughter Marta of Bordentown City. He also leaves his son Gary Stone and daughter-in-law Rachel Feldman of New York, daughter Laura Stone Walston and husband Rob Walston of Los Angeles, and grandchildren, Daniel, Anna, Sarah, and Nathan. He is also survived by his sister Lillian Stone Goldner of Allentown, PA and many caring and compassionate friends.

Due to the pandemic, a memorial service celebrating Bernie's life will be scheduled for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
