Barbara H. Rue, 80, of Camden-Wyoming, DE (formerly of Robbinsville, NJ) passed away on January 25, 2021 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and has now been reunited with her beloved husband Samuel Carlisle Rue exactly one month before their 60th wedding anniversary.

Born on June 29, 1940 in Pottstown, PA, Barbara was a longtime employee of McLean Engineering prior to her retirement. Barbara was a devoted mother and grandmother to her three children and six grandchildren and enjoyed nothing more than quality time spent with her family. She could be found most days baking, reading, gardening, filling out her beloved crossword puzzles, or relaxing outside admiring the hummingbirds as they flew around her yard.

Barbara is survived by her three children and their spouses, daughter, Joyce M. Penkola and husband Edward J. Penkola Jr., daughter, Beverly Dimmick, son, David Carlisle Rue and wife Katy Rue, and grandchildren, Ryan E. Penkola and wife Jess Penkola, Brielle M. Penkola, Scott Samuel Dimmick, Emily R. Pummer, Riley Rue and husband Matthew Martin, and Wyatt Carlisle Rue as well as special niece and nephew, Linda Haun and Boomer V. Hutnick.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic there will be a closed service for only close family members at Peppler Funeral Home at 114 South Main Street Allentown, NJ.
