Obituary

Barbara F. Rosenberg, 62 of Tabernacle, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. Born in Hamilton Square, as a child and teenager she lived in South Vineland, New Egypt, Farmingdale, and Allentown. After her marriage to Jim in 1976 she lived in Vineland and Tabernacle New Jersey. A graduate of Allentown High School, she worked in the banking industry. She retired from Bank of America in 2004.

Barbara was a full partner in Jim's 33 year Jersey Army Guard career. Every armory and unit that Jim served in, knew Barb. She was always involved, volunteering and attending every unit dinner and Christmas party. She especially enjoyed the annual New Jersey National Guard Officer's Association conventions where the officers would gather for a weekend of meetings, hospitality rooms and formal dinner dances. Her love for her country and her Guard family was best shown when Barb and Jim served as the command team for the 5th Squadron 117th Cavalry. She was the leader of the Squadron's family support group which provided critical support to the families of 250 soldiers who were deployed to Iraq and other locations. She tirelessly went to the subordinate troop family support group meetings at the Vineland, Woodstown, Dover and West Orange armories and took the message and needs of support to the State Headquarters Family Support Association. She was well known and made a difference in every armory Jim was assigned to, with most of their time spent at the 3-102 Armor and 5-117 Cavalry in Vineland and 1-114 Infantry in Woodbury.

Barbara loved spending time at her vacation home in the rural town of Dundee, NY in the center of the beautiful Finger Lakes region of NY.

Daughter of the late Roberta Malsbury Frantz, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, James D. Rosenberg Jr.; her father, Rev. Horace Frantz; brother and sister-in-law, William and Beverly Frantz; niece, Lori Fetterhoff; nephew, Stephen Frantz; mother-in-law, Joan Rosenberg; sisters-in-law, Ellen Greene, Eileen Hutchinson, Janice Snyder and Laura Cancio and her husband Jose; her beloved dachshund, Lacy as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral Service will be held 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 11th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C.
