Barbara Lee Greenberg , devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on February 21st, surrounded by family. She was 92.
Barbara was born to Emeral and Catherine (Smith) White on February 7, 1932. She attended William McFarland High School and was valedictorian of the Class of 1950. She attended Montclair State College before starting a career as a judicial administrative assistant in the Tax Court of New Jersey.
In 1951 she married the love of her life, Joseph I. "Bud" Greenberg, and together they had three children, Robert, Nancy (Minni) and Debra (Farber). During their early family years, they enjoyed spending summers boating on the Delaware River and vacationing on Long Beach Island.
After their retirement in 1991, Barb and Bud moved to Cape Coral, Florida and spent over twenty years of leisure in the sun, enjoying shopping, dining out at favorite restaurants, and going on cruises with friends.
When Bud passed away after sixty-four years of marriage, Barbara returned to Bordentown to be closer to family. Her final years were spent enjoying stories of her great-grandchildren and being among her new friends at Brookdale Senior Living in Florence.
Barbara was laid to rest beside her loving husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery In North Hanover.
She was predeceased by her parents and sister Joyce (Anthony). She is survived by her sister Linda (Reed-Mercantini); her children; nieces and nephews, David Reed (Becky), Cheryl Reed, Tammy George (Reed) (Albert "Butch") and Roger Anthony (Lupe); daughter-in-law Susan Greenberg, son-in-law Stephen Farber; grandchildren Karen (Greenberg) Kwietniak (Matthew), Joseph J. Greenberg (Cassandra) and Nicholas Minni (McKena); and great-grandchildren William & Nathan Kwietniak, Penelope & Gwendolyn Greenberg, and Elise Minni Kovar.
