Barbara A, Black, 78, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, her family later moved to Englishtown. Barbara relocated to Sebastian, Florida where she worked in the billing department at Sebastian River Medical Center prior to moving to Allentown. Barbara was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church where she also worked. An avid Disney and Harry Potter fan, Barbara enjoyed going to the horse races, playing the slots at Parx Casino, NASCAR and rooting for the New Jersey Devils. She was also a big fan of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise. A former member of the Englishtown Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, she loved gardening and animals, especially her dogs.
Daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna Cicariello, she was predeceased by her husband, John J. Black and her sister, Dorothy Beller, who passed away on January 3 rd . Barbara is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jean Kohlhepp of Allentown; daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Steve Evans of Beaver, PA; son and daughter-in-law James and Melody Kohlhepp of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Madison, James and Amanda Kohlhepp; brother-in-law, Fred Beller; nieces and nephews, Mary Ann, Fred, Jr., Monica, Larry and Frank; her beloved dog, Belle as well as many other extended family and good friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, January 21 st at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue at http://www.nebostonrescue.org/
