Augustus L. Henkel, 81, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at Virtua Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Camden, he had lived in Houston, TX before moving to the Masonic Home of New Jersey seven years ago. He was an Army Korean War Veteran, had worked as security for Heritage Bank in Camden and was a member of Williamstown Lodge #149 F & AM.

Husband of the late Ruth Henkel, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Margaret Henkel of Glasboro.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Thursday, April 28, at the Masonic Home Chapel, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington. Masonic services will begin at 10:30 am at the Chapel. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
