Obituary

Arthur C. Kalm, Jr., 69, of Allentown went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2009 after a two year battle with an intense illness. ""I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness.""

Art, who grew up in Marinette, Wisconsin, was a talented athlete in his youth. In high school he was an All State defensive tackle before going on to play football for the University of Wisconsin. After moving to Allentown, NJ, he was a coach for the Allentown Little League. Art was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was devoted to his family and Christian faith.

Art is survived by his adoring wife of 45 years, Peggy Kalm; his children and their spouses, Daniel and Amy Kalm of Tucson, AZ, David and Kimberly Kalm of Allentown, Amy and Robert Klopman of Allentown, Joshua and Lisa Kalm of Chesterfield and Jeremiah and Christina Kalm of Columbus; 13 grandchildren, Suzanne, Jonathan, Meg, Kaitlin, Jane, Zachary, Andrew, Grace, Thomas, Teddy, Sam, Josh and Madelyn; a brother and sister-in-law, Elton and Claudia Kalm of Marinette WI as well as nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd at 3 pm at the First Baptist Church of Allentown, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to New Jersey Right to Life,242 Old New Brunswick Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ.
